Course Introduction
Taekwondo is a traditional martial art originating from the Korean Peninsula. Because its scientific training methods are highly effective, it was included as an official Olympic sport in 2000 (World Taekwondo system). Taekwondo is generally known for its beautiful high-kicking movements and explosive power, but that is because of competition scoring rules — kicking high is certainly good, but kicking effectively is more important!
