Course Introduction
Langue Française d’enseignement
In Montreal, French is established as the sole official and common language. Language is not just sound or symbols, but more a worldview, so through language learning the college hopes students will understand the cultural history behind French. Collège McGill’s French courses are mainly designed for elementary and secondary stages, with a curriculum aimed at natural phonics application, oral expression and communication, and basic reading and writing skills, covering ages 5-15, based on Quebec original children’s French textbooks, connecting to advanced study after the youth stage. The college also provides free French learning courses for adult students.
