Course Introduction

Montreal is called the “Capital of Arts,” blending North American, European, and ancient Eastern cultures, with a strong artistic atmosphere permeating every corner of the city. Learning dance helps young people’s healthy physical development, promotes height and intellectual improvement, shapes a graceful and upright figure, and cultivates a noble and elegant temperament. Chinese dance, as one of the world’s main dance categories, is an excellent cultural and artistic treasure of the Chinese nation, showing a style and charm integrating spirit, rhyme, form, and body through body language. K-pop combines Korean, electronic music, DANCE-POP, and hip-hop music, with relatively fast melodies and a strong sense of rhythm, suitable for dancing. Collège McGill’s youth dance class, through professional planning and training, cultivates young people with potential in dance performance and provides a practice platform for young Chinese-heritage people to display dance skills and talent.
